Battery icon doesn't show as charging - HP Support Community
May 15, 2020 · so I replaced my previous battery and the tech who replaced it for me noticed that the battery icon on the bottom right of the status bar does not show as charging. Yes it shows that it's plugged it, but it doesn't show the battery cell filling up - it used to before, until an update came through on HP support agent and now stays stagnant.

Before this update, Maximize My Battery Health caused the Windows icon tray to display a maximum charge of 80%. After the update, the Windows icon tray displays a maximum charge of 100%.

The charging light is white and keeps blinking. There is a message on the battery icon stating "plugged in, not charging".

Then in the same "Device Manager" window, select "Action" at the top left of window. Then select "Scan for hardware changes". However the icon only shows the battery and not the plug so Windows thinks the system is running on the battery. It even uses the power profile for battery. This is on an HP Pavillion dv7 3060us with Win7 64-bit professional.
